I am buying/selling a property at an RMG managed development – how do I or my solicitor obtain information?
If you are in the process of selling or purchasing a property managed by RMG, please arrange for your solicitor to contact our Solicitors Enquiries Department on 0345 002 4499 or alternatively they can issue post to our dedicated DX number which is DX 8067 HODDESDON.
It is important that all sales and purchases are notified to RMG in order for us to transfer your liability for common costs when another owner becomes liable.
I’m selling my property, do I still need to pay my common charges account or can I clear the balance when the sale completes?
During the process of a sale, any outstanding invoices will need to be paid by the due date to allow for scheduled services on the site to continue uninterrupted and as budgeted. Should you sell the property during a period for which you have paid, the new owner will become liable and you can seek a refund of your overpayment from the date of sale.
Do I need to tell you if I’m letting my property?
It is important for RMG Scotland to be able to contact you regarding your property not only in respect of common charges, but in the event of an emergency. We would therefore appreciate if you would advise us if you have an alternative address because you do not reside at the RMG managed property.
We can arrange for your letting agent to be able to contact us regarding matters concerning your property. If this is useful to you, please contact our Customer Service Team.
